M.E.S.A. 2015
May 16, 2015 -- The UC Davis/Sacramento State MESA Center held a MESA End of the Year Awards Banquet/Breakfast to recognize outstanding MESA students: high school seniors, middle school, and elementary.
Two Elkhorn MESA students were recognized for their outstanding work and dedication in MESA - Eliseo Hernandez, 6th grade and Bryan Barrera, 8th grade.

April 18, 2015 -- Our students had a great time on Saturday at Elementary MESA Day and placed in several categories! Thank you teachers, parents, and volunteers for your support!
March 14, 2015 -- Students from both the Elkhorn Village and River City MESA program participated in the 2015 Preliminary MESA Day at UC Davis.
The event hosted middle and high school students from around the Sacramento area that submitted projects/participated in competitions such as mousetrap cars, balsawood gliders, popsicle stick bridges, egg drop containers, model science projects, team speeches, team math tests, and MESA’s National Engineering Design Competition.

The students who placed 1st and 2nd for their project will compete against students from around N. California at the Regional MESA Day Competition at Chico State on Saturday, April 25.
Saturday, January 24, 2015 -- Elkhorn Village hosted its first onsite Math Competition. Over 115 students participated in the competition and had students from Kindergarten to 8th grade participate in grade level group tests and individual grade level tests.
Students also had the opportunity to participate in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics activities.
The event was a great success and could not have been done without the work of teachers, parents, and community member volunteers! Thank you for your support!
